A number of Italian newspapers are suggesting that Juventus could part ways with Federico Chiesa this summer. The 25-year-old returned to action for the Azzurri on Sunday and scored a vital goal in their 3-2 win over the Netherlands, earning them a 3rd place finish in the Nations League.

It follows on from a story last week that La Gazzetta dello Sport led with, claiming the player is asking for an improvement in salary, or he will consider his options.

Tuttosport lead with his return to competitive football with the national team, but suggest that his story resembles that of Paulo Dybala, who also fell out with the club over a salary raise. The newspaper suggests that Chiesa is looking for more than his current €5m a season, and if the two sides can’t agree a deal, it might be better to separate.

Il Corriere dello Sport report on similar lines, saying that Chiesa has ‘a thousand doubts’ as he ‘no longer feels unconditional trust in him’ and is ‘thinking about leaving’. Their reports claims that Juventus would want an offer of at least €40m to consider selling him, while the player wants a salary of €6-7m, with Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Newcastle all potentially interested.
