Following the eleventh round of Serie A, the race for the Scudetto was a hot topic on the TV show “Pressing,” with particular focus on Juventus’ role in this season’s championship. Former Juventus player Alessio Tacchinardi shared his thoughts: “I was a bit deluded after the first few matchdays, thinking they were already ready, perhaps too much so. Then there were ups and downs. Today, in my opinion, they’re not ready; it’s a young team. Against Udinese, they showed great solidity, which wasn’t easy.”

Ivan Zazzaroni, a prominent Italian sports journalist, offered a more dramatic assessment of Juventus’ title chances: “This team is not ready to win the Scudetto. If they win the Scudetto, it’s a miracle. They should build a statue for Thiago Motta. And for Giuntoli… who put together a team without a backup striker.”

Zazzaroni also commented on the perceived overvaluation of certain players: “I discovered today that Kalulu is Beckenbauer; I didn’t know that. I thought he was a good defender, but now that he’s arrived, the game becomes rock-solid. I don’t see this phenomenon; I think he’ll go through less enjoyable moments. Danilo? At this moment, he’s under a train…”

Riccardo Trevisani, another pundit on the show, provided a more optimistic long-term view of Juventus: “Juve are still at 30% of what they will become. They haven’t even had Douglas Luiz practically, they’ve played with the under-21s. I believe that what we’ll see in the next 2-3 years… we’ve only seen 30% so far. Juve has bought and sold. My expectation is that they will win the Scudetto in a year or two, but certainly, it’s not a team that has finished its journey.”
