Juan Cuadrado is poised to embark on a new chapter in his career with Atalanta. The Colombian right-winger is currently undergoing medical examinations before signing a contract that will keep him with the Bergamo-based club until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Calciomercato report how Atalanta are acquiring Cuadrado as a free agent following his departure from Inter Milan when his contract expired on June 30. The 35-year-old veteran had been sidelined for approximately four months due to an Achilles tendon surgery he underwent before Christmas, returning to action in mid-April.
Cuadrado brings a wealth of experience from his time with various Italian clubs, including Udinese, Lecce, Fiorentina, Juventus, and Inter Milan, as well as a stint with Chelsea in England. His versatility will be a valuable asset for Atalanta, as he can operate as a wing-back, competing with Bellanova and Zappacosta for a starting position, or play as one of the two attacking midfielders behind the central striker.
