While Juventus’ primary focus for the January transfer window remains strengthening their defense due to injuries to Juan Cabal and Gleison Bremer, the club is also considering reinforcements in other areas, particularly in attack. Recent injuries to Dusan Vlahovic, ongoing fitness issues with Arek Milik, and uncertainties surrounding Vlahovic’s contract renewal have highlighted the need for additional offensive options.

Calciomercato report that football Director Cristiano Giuntoli recently commented on the situation, stating that while they consider Milik suitable for Thiago Motta’s style of play, they are prepared to act if unforeseen circumstances arise. If Juventus does move for an attacker, they are likely to target young players who can become part of the club’s long-term project.

Three names have emerged as potential targets for the Bianconeri:

Liam Delap, a 20-year-old English striker currently playing for Ipswich Town in the Premier League, has caught Giuntoli’s attention. Developed in Manchester City’s youth system, Delap has already been scouted by Juventus on a couple of occasions. This season, he has impressed with 6 goals and 1 assist in 14 appearances.

Lorenzo Lucca, a 23-year-old Italian forward currently at Udinese, is admired by both Giuntoli and Motta for his technical and tactical attributes. Since joining Udinese in 2023, Lucca has scored 15 goals in 52 matches, maintaining a respectable average of one goal every three games.

Santiago Castro, a 19-year-old Argentine striker, has begun to showcase his talents at Bologna after a six-month adaptation period. This season, he has contributed 5 goals and 5 assists in 19 appearances. Castro’s technical skills are appealing to Juventus, though negotiating with Bologna could prove challenging, especially given the recent history between the clubs following Motta’s move from Bologna to Juventus.
