As the days wind down on Adrien Rabiot’s contract with Juventus, the French midfielder finds himself at a crossroads, needing to decide his future. The 29-year-old has received a two-year contract extension offer from Cristiano Giuntoli, maintaining his current €7.5 million net salary.
However, Rabiot has requested time to ponder his decision, preferring to concentrate solely on the European Championships with the French national team for now. His goal is to reach the final on July 14 before communicating his choice, which could be surprising.
According to Calciomercato, while some sources are linking him with a move to Milan and Inter, more credible are the whispers linking Rabiot to Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. The reigning European champions, having secured the arrival of Kylian Mbappé after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired, are considering Rabiot as a potential replacement for Toni Kroos, who is expected to retire after the Euros.
Negotiations are already underway, and the French contingent at the Bernabeu, comprising Mbappé, Camavinga, Mendy, and Tchouameni, could soon include the PSG youth academy product from July 1st.
Interestingly, Rabiot was coached by Carlo Ancelotti during his time at PSG, and the pair share an excellent rapport. “I got along very well with Ancelotti,” Rabiot once told Dazn. “He used to come and watch me play with the under-19s and personally ask the coaches to let me train with them. I was 17 years old, and he helped me tremendously.” The Reggiolo-born manager could prove instrumental in Rabiot’s next move, having overseen the Frenchman’s 212 appearances and 22 goals for Juventus.
