How Juventus Could Capitalize on Italian Super Cup Teams Heading to Saudi Arabia
As the Italian Super Cup nears, Juventus may find themselves creeping up the table with a favorable festive run.
We are approaching a turning point in this season’s Serie A. Inter Milan lead with 33 points, one more than AC Milan (32), two more than Napoli (31) and just a win-distance from Roma (30). Of course, let’s not forget about Juventus, who currently sit in fifth place with 26 points but with a schedule that can help boost their hopes.
Italian Super Cup in Saudi Arabia May Hinder Participants
With Inter, Napoli and AC Milan involved in Riyadh later on this week there will be a little more pressure on these three sides, as Roma can go back on top of the table, in case of a win against Juventus in the next Serie A matchday.
Those three teams will play their postponed match in mid January which means that it could well be a month full of surprises.
Christian Chivu’s side seem to have the worst upcoming fixture list as they face Bologna in the Super Cup semi-final, and then Atalanta (a) on their return, followed by Bologna (h), Parma (a) and Napoli (h).
There is an easier return to Italy for Napoli and Milan, who face Cremonese (a) and Verona (h) respectively.

Juventus Have a Favorable Run of Games
Well, it’s fair to say that Juventus have the best schedule until mid-Jan, and before the important UCL game against Benfica, Luciano Spalletti’s side could potentially be on top of the league.
In the event Juventus beat Roma, the Bianconeri will then move to within one point of the Giallorossi, while as said, Inter, Milan and Napoli freeze their position due to the Super Cup.
Then, behind the corner, Juve will face Pisa (a) while Inter could drop points against Atalanta. After that, in Turin will arrive Lecce, while Roma go to Bergamo, Napoli play home against Lazio and Inter will face Bologna. There is a possibility Juve could gain three points on everyone on matchday 18.
Then, Sassuolo, Cremonese and Cagliari: most probably another nine points for the Bianconeri and considering two or maybe three false steps for each top flight team along the way, it makes 9 points gained in total for Spalletti’s side.
That’s the aim and the dream for Juventus, but Bianconeri needs to deliver and make it real. The only way is the winning way and there is no more room to be giant only against other giants. Spalletti knows.
