Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap has caught the attention of Italian giants Juventus, adding to the growing list of high-profile clubs interested in the young talent. The Mirror report that the 21-year-old’s impressive start to the Premier League season has not gone unnoticed, with Chelsea and Manchester United already monitoring his progress.
Juventus are reportedly considering Delap as a potential replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract negotiations have stalled. The Old Lady sent scouts to watch Delap in action during Ipswich’s recent match against Manchester United, signaling their serious interest in the former Manchester City academy product.
Delap’s future at Ipswich has become a topic of speculation, particularly due to a buy-back clause held by Manchester City. The Premier League champions also negotiated a 20% sell-on clause when they sold Delap to Ipswich for £20 million in July 2024.
Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has attempted to quell transfer rumors, stating, “It’s not anything I’m aware of or interested in to be honest. My full focus is on this season and, with regards to Liam, trying to help him to continue to improve.” McKenna emphasized the importance of Delap’s development, noting that this is his first season as a regular starting striker in the Premier League.
