Juventus are looking to reinforce their midfield and attack this winter, and are being linked with Thomas Partey, Kalvin Phillips and Domenico Berardi. The Bianconeri are expected to lose Paul Pogba in the weeks ahead, while Nicolo Fagioli is suspended until next year, leaving them in need of midfield reinforcements.
Sky Sport Italia report that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Tottenham’s Danish central midfielder, was a player considered until recently one of the Bianconeri’s first choices, however Juventus are now turning to a different kind of profile: no longer a playmaker, but rather a midfielder with the ability to fit in and possibly with some goals in his legs.
Reports have suggested the idea of Kalvin Phillips, the English midfielder from Manchester City, who has featured sparingly for Manchester City this season. The player is an option the Bianconeri could consider, possibly on loan with an option to buy.
Another idea may still lead to Arsenal’s Thomas Partey, but he has picked up several injuries in recent years which could make him unappealing to the Bianconei. The Ghanaian was already a Juve target in the past season .
Finally, Juventus could return for Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi this winter, or possibly a player with similar characteristics.
