Juventus are once again being linked with a move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Serbian international has been a long standing target for the Bianconeri, dating back to 2017 when he had a breakthrough season with the Biancocelesti.
Rome based newspaper Il Messaggero (via Tuttomercatoweb) report that Juventus are ready to make a bid for the versatile midfielder, and have already established contacts with the players agent, Mateja Kezman.
The report claims Juve are ready to ‘put pressure’ on Lazio on two fronts: Firstly, by offering a contract directly to the player via his agent, given that he is out of contract next summer. Secondly, they will make a ‘reasonable’ offer to the Capitolini, thought to be in the region of €25m plus various performance-related bonuses.
For now, Lazio president Claudio Lotito is aiming for at least €40m and may be able to generate an auction for the midfielder, given the interest of Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United.
