Juventus Make Approaches for Retegui and Simeone

Juventus are  actively seeking to strengthen their central attack, currently led by Dusan Vlahovic. With Moise Kean transferred to Fiorentina and Arkadiusz Milik’s future uncertain due to injury, the Bianconeri are exploring new options in the market. While focusing on major acquisitions for a defender, an attacking midfielder, and a winger, Juventus is also considering backup options for their forward line.

Calciomercato report that one of the potential targets is Giovanni Simeone, known as “Cholito.” Despite being overshadowed by Victor Osimhen at Napoli, Simeone remains a valuable asset. With Napoli nearing a deal for Romelu Lukaku and Cheddira impressing in preseason, Simeone is contemplating a move. He has already been in contact with Lazio, which might shift Noslin to the wing to accommodate him alongside Castellanos. However, Juventus has emerged as a strong contender, potentially forming a striking duo of former Fiorentina players with Vlahovic. Initial discussions have taken place, and further negotiations are expected to outline the details of a possible transfer.

Meanwhile, Genoa are considering retaining players like Gudmundsson and Vasquez but might be open to selling Mateo Retegui. Initially pursued by Fiorentina before Kean’s arrival, Retegui is now linked with Roma following the collapse of their deal for En-Nesyri. Juventus is also interested in the Italo-Argentine striker, although Genoa’s initial asking price of €25 million is steep. The strong relationship between the clubs and the potential inclusion of Milik in the deal could facilitate negotiations.
