Juventus coach Max Allegri is still hoping that Adrien Rabiot will remain in Turin with the club prepared to offer him €7m a season. The Frenchman is a free agent in June and can listen to offers from other clubs, but the Bianconeri are reportedly still keen to keep him at the club beyond the summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that The Old Lady are prepared to offer the 27-year-old a €7m per season contract plus a further €1m in bonuses, with Allegri supposedly the driving force to try and keep the player in Turin.
Relations between the players agent/mother Veronique and the Juve management are thought to be very positive, which could help the two parties reach an agreement, while the player is held in high esteem by Allegri.
Rabiot has no other offers at present, despite having played a key role for France at the recent World Cup, which has prompted Juve to try and speed things up. There is expected to be interest from the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle in the coming months, with the player himself having admitted to wanting to play in the Premier League at some point.
The players relationship with Allegri could play a key part in his decision, given his improvement under the coach in the last 12 months and Rabiot’s acknowledgement that he’s in the ‘best period of his career’, thanks to the work he’s done under the coach.
Rabiot is also reportedly awaiting the outcome of the various investigations into Juve’s transfer dealings and wage payments, as well their potential qualification for next seasons Champions League.
