Juventus are set to announce a renewed deal for Igor Tudor on Friday 13th June after the Croatian manager impressed during his short run last season.
Will Juventus Renew Igor Tudor’s Contract?
Following recent reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Igor Tudor’s time at Juventus is set to be extended on Friday 13th June and the Croatian will agree a two-year deal with an option for another year.
Tudor came into the club in March 2025 following the departure of Thiago Motta and Juventus had one aim – to qualify for the Champions League as the league title was too far gone.
The 46-year-old managed to achieve this feat after nine games in Serie A, doing so on the final day and ended the season with a record of five wins, three draws and one defeat.
Finishing in a Champions League position meant that his deal in Turin would automatically renew, but Juventus could pay a penalty fee to search for a new head coach.
Damien Comolli, General Manager at Juventus, revealed that the club would not be relieving Tudor of his duties and the Croatian will still be in charge going into the 2025/26 campaign.
Some star names were linked with a new job this summer, including the likes of Antonio Conte and Gian Piero Gasperini, but the former has decided to stay in Naples and the latter switched Bergamo for Rome.
If Tudor can find success in Turin then his deal will run until June 2027 and can be extended until 2028 if Juventus trigger the one-year extension option.
Agreeing a new deal needed to be done swiftly, as Juventus head into the FIFA Club World Cup and kick-start their tournament run on June 18th against Al Ain.
Juve are one of the favorites to win the competition on Serie A betting sites, but will face huge competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Tudor will have some big choices to make in the upcoming transfer window, with the Croatian looking into possible options that could bolster his side while also offloading key players.
Igor Tudor’s Managerial History
Tudor took his first steps into coaching with Juventus, as he acted as an assistant manager to Andrea Pirlo between 2020-21 and earned his first job as the number one figure at Hellas Verona.
The Croatian began his tenure in September 2021 and parted ways with the club in May of the next year, coming in after three games of the Serie A season.
From these 35 league matches, Hellas Verona won 14, drew 11 and lost 10, picking up some huge wins along the way including a 4-0 win over Atalanta and 2-1 win over Juventus.
Despite a strong season with the Serie A side, Tudor parted ways with the club and obtained his second role, becoming the manager of Marseille in July 2022.
His time in France further enhanced his name as a manager across Europe, as his side finished third in Ligue 1 and won 22 of their 38 league matches.
Tudor also managed something no Marseille manager has achieved since 2011, beating PSG 2-1 in the Coupe de France to knock their rivals out in a historic ‘Classique’ clash.
In June 2023, Tudor opted to leave France for family reasons and waited until March 2024 to begin his new role, earning the job as Lazio manager.
The Croatian coach was only in charge until the end of the 2023/24 campaign, taking Lazio from ninth in the league to seventh and earning a place in the Europa League.
He is now in his fourth job as a professional manager and will be looking to take Juventus to the next level, with the Croatian already targeting new players like David Fratessi who has been linked with a move to Juve.
