Juventus Face Major Roadblock During Contract Negotiations With Kenan Yildiz
Kenan Yildiz is yet to commit his future to Juventus after establishing himself as one of the brightest stars in Europe and contract negotiations have hit a major stumbling block.

Juventus and Kenan Yildiz are currently in a stalemate over a new contract, as the Turkish star is looking to receive a substantial pay-rise.
Will Kenan Yildiz Sign New Juventus Contract?
After what appeared to be several months of positive negotiations, Juventus are at risk of leaving Yildiz unsatisfied as the Turkish international is reportedly asking for €6 million per year.
The Bianconeri’s initial offer came in at €5m and Juve are said to be raise this, as the 20-year-old is currently accumulating €2.9m per season and would inflate the clubs’ wage structure massively.
Yildiz’s agents believe that the 20-year-old is justified in his request for such an increase, as the Turkish international is currently paid less than the majority of Juve’s roster.
For example, Jonathan David is reportedly earning €11m per year after joining the club in the summer transfer window and the Canadian has failed to impress so far – scoring one goal in 10 league appearances.
Fortunately for Juventus, Yildiz is not out of contract in Serie A until June 2029, meaning he will not be able to leave the club without a huge transfer fee.
The desire to extend the youngster’s deal in Turin comes after a stellar start to the 2025/26 season for Yildiz, registering a goal contribution in every other league match (5 G/A in 10).
Although the Turkish star has put in some strong performances, Juventus’ overall campaign has not followed this trend and led to the dismissal of Igor Tudor.
The Romanian was relieved of his duties after a run of eight matches without a win and Juventus replaced Tudor with former Napoli manager, Luciano Spalletti.
Spalletti’s arrival is set to bring big things for Yildiz as the Italian manager has been renowned for getting the most out of attacking players – most notably Khvicha Kvaratskhelia during the 2022/23 season.
However, Yildiz’s performances for Turin could prove to be insignificant if the Bianconeri cannot meet his financial requests and this could lead to a move away from Juve in 2026.

Could Kenan Yildiz Leave Juventus In 2026?
At 20-years-old, Yildiz is one of the most sought-after players in Europe as his level of performance does not resemble a player with a lack of experience.
Interest from clubs around Europe was made very apparent during the recent summer transfer window, as a host of sides contacted Juventus over a move for the Turkish forward.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool were heavily linked with the Juventus star last summer, but neither side were willing to meet the €80m asking price.
Arne Slot brought in a host of star names in the build-up to the 2025/26 season, as Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, Giovanni Leoni and Milos Kerkez all moved to Anfield.
Despite this influx of players, Liverpool have endured a difficult start to the season, sitting eighth in the Premier League and the Reds are reportedly looking to reignite talks over a move for Yildiz.
One option that could be looked into is a possible cash plus swap deal involving Federico Chiesa, as the Italian is reportedly looking to leave Anfield next year.
The former Juventus star is yet to make a start in Serie A this season and Chiesa’s future with the Azzurri national team has suffered greatly – making a return to Turin likely.
Moving to the Premier League is not the only option for Yildiz if he decides to move elsewhere, as there has been rumored interest from Real Madrid.
Los Blancos are currently top of LaLiga and enjoying a strong start under Xabi Alonso, but Yildiz would have heavy competition in Madrid – battling with Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Arda Guler and Rodrygo for a starting spot.
