Paul Pogba has criticized Juventus for their treatment towards the Frenchman during his doping ban, as the Frenchman nears a return to the sport.
Is Paul Pogba Going To Play Soccer Again?
Paul Pogba is set to return to the sport after almost two-years away and the Frenchman is edging closer to signing a two-year deal with Ligue 1 side, Monaco.
In August 2023, the former Juventus midfielder tested positive for DHEA, which is a banned substance in sport and was handed a provisional suspension the following month.
After months of investigation, Pogba was handed a four-year ban by the Italian National Anti-Doping Tribunal, which was set to run from September 2023 – September 2027.
Pogba was adamant that he did not intentionally take the banned substance, going on to appeal the decision and look to get the ban removed or at least reduced.
After further talks between Pogba and the Court of Arbitration for Sport, his ban was reduced to 18-months and this officially ended in March 2025.
The 2018 World Cup has been linked with multiple clubs after serving his time away from the sport and Monaco have been priced as the most likely option on the best betting apps.
Pogba will need a couple of months to get back up to speed, especially as he final spell with Juventus was full of injuries – leading to the clubs’ decision to part ways with the midfielder in November 2024.

What Did Paul Pogba Say About Juventus?
During his time away from the sport, Pogba has gone in and out of the public eye, however, the Frenchman was continued to post online – often showing his various workouts.
The former Manchester United star was also a part of some viral clips with live-streamer, IShowSpeed, where he showed the soccer ability we all know he holds.
Most recently, Pogba was involved in an interview where he spoke about his time away from soccer and revealed how he was disappointed by the lack of help he received from Juventus.
Pogba said: “At the time I asked for help, for example, a physiotherapist or an athletic trainer, because I was still part of Juventus, But I didn’t get that either. They really weren’t beside me and hearing this was a hard blow for me. I didn’t understand, I wasn’t at war with them.”
“I couldn’t keep taking my kids to school every day, passing by the stadium and the training centre, and knowing I wouldn’t be able to play for a long time. My kids kept asking me when I’d be back on the pitch and when they could watch me at the stadium again.”
Juventus fans may not be too pleased to hear this from Pogba, but the Turin-based side will be diverting their focus back on the club as Igor Tudor prepares for the 2025/26 season.
A host of arfrivals and exits are expected, including a deal that will see Dusan Vlahovic leave the club as Juventus have set their asking price for the Serbian.
