Jean-Clair Todibo has given his initial approval to join Juventus, signaling a significant development in the Italian club’s pursuit of the French defender. The 24-year-old has reportedly instructed his entourage to prioritize Juventus during this summer transfer window, effectively turning down interest from West Ham United, who had previously offered €35 million to Nice for his services.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus’ Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli now faces less competition for Todibo’s signature, but Nice remains firm on their €40 million valuation of the player. The Bianconeri are exploring a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy, a strategy that could help them manage their financial commitments.
Todibo is seen as an alternative to Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, who was initially targeted as a potential replacement for Riccardo Calafiori. If successful, this would mark Juventus’ second deal with Nice this summer, following their pursuit of Khephren Thuram.
