Manchester United Want €25 Million from Juventus for Jadon Sancho, Wage Demands Remain an Obstacle

Start

Juventus have stepped up their efforts to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, with a fresh round of talks reportedly scheduled this week.

The Bianconeri are hoping to agree on a deal that would bring the 25-year-old winger to Turin, but they face competition and significant financial hurdles.

Manchester United Set €25 Million Sancho Transfer Fee

According to La Repubblica and Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus has arranged a video call with Manchester United to discuss the Sancho transfer fee and wage structure.

The English club is holding firm on their €25 million valuation of the player, despite his inconsistent performances and recent return from a loan spell at Chelsea.

United originally signed Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for around €85 million, making the current price tag a steep drop.

With just one year left on his contract, however, the Premier League side is looking to cash in now rather than risk losing him for free next summer.

Sancho’s Wage Demands Remain an Obstacle for Juventus Transfer

One of the major sticking points in the deal is Sancho’s wages. The winger reportedly earns €12 million per year, or close to £300,000 a week.

Juventus are reluctant to take on that full amount and are hoping to restructure the payments across a longer contract or convince United to subsidize part of his salary.

This issue was reportedly the reason Chelsea opted not to make his loan move permanent, instead paying a €5 million penalty to send him back to Old Trafford.

Fenerbahce remain in the race for Sancho and are said to have offered a competitive package worth €10 million per year, with bonuses.

Napoli had also shown interest earlier in the window but have since moved closer to signing PSV’s Noa Lang and renewing their push for Federico Chiesa.

Juventus Consider Sancho Swap Deal

To offset the €25 million fee, Juventus is also exploring the possibility of a swap deal. Reports in Italy suggest the Bianconeri might include Dusan Vlahovic or Douglas Luiz as part of the deal.

Both players are seen as valuable assets who could help balance the books while facilitating Sancho’s arrival. Vlahovic, in particular, has attracted Premier League attention in recent windows and is considered expendable due to his high salary.

Does Man Utd Want to Sell Sancho?

Manchester United wants clarity on Sancho’s future ahead of their pre-season tour. The club’s hierarchy is pushing to resolve the situation this month, especially as new signings and squad planning for the 2025–26 campaign ramp up.

Whether Juventus can find a formula that works remains to be seen, but they appear serious about adding Sancho to Thiago Motta’s new-look side.
