Juventus have embarked on a strategic move to secure Portuguese winger Francisco Conceição from FC Porto. Initially arriving on a temporary loan for €7 million, the decision raised eyebrows, but Juventus’ management sees long-term potential in the player.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report how Conceição’s impactful performance in the second half of the match against Roma highlighted his value, showcasing his speed and skill on the right flank. Juventus aims to retain him beyond the current season and is preparing to negotiate a permanent transfer with Porto.
The current loan deal does not include an option to buy, making it crucial for Juventus to reach an agreement with Porto. A release clause of €30 million will become active next summer, but Juventus plans to start negotiations soon, potentially offering half the clause’s value (€15 million) with additional bonuses.
Porto are open to selling but seeks more favorable terms, aiming for €25 million. Although the initial positions are apart, both clubs are optimistic about reaching a mutually beneficial agreement.
