Juventus to gift Thiago Motta with Conceicao’s permanent signing

As December approaches, Francisco Conceicao is set to celebrate his 22nd birthday in Juventus colors, marking his first year with the Bianconeri. The Portuguese winger has rapidly become a crucial player for the team, cementing his place as an indispensable starter. His rise to prominence was accelerated by Nico Gonzalez’s injury, though Conceicao was already making his mark before this opportunity arose.

Gazzetta dello Sport (via IlBianconero) report that Juventus are planning to make Conceicao’s move permanent this December, transforming his loan into a full transfer. This decision comes as an early Christmas present for manager Thiago Motta, who has been impressed by the young talent’s performances. The deal is expected to cost around €30 million, activating Conceicao’s release clause, in addition to the €7 million (plus €3 million in bonuses) already paid for the loan. This brings the total investment to approximately €40 million, a significant but well-justified expense given Conceicao’s impact on the field.

Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus’ sporting director, had initially hoped to secure Conceicao permanently during the summer transfer window. However, financial constraints at the time prevented the club from adding his acquisition to their other investments. Despite this, a verbal agreement was reached with Porto, which Juventus intends to honor.

Given Conceicao’s exceptional performance, the club has decided to expedite the purchase rather than waiting until spring as originally planned. This move underscores the club’s confidence in Conceicao’s value and his integral role in the team’s future.
