Jonathan David has attracted interest from LaLiga as the Canadian international has failed to meet expectations at Juventus.

Jonathan David Linked With LaLiga Move

The Bianconeri star is reportedly being monitored by Sevilla ahead of the January transfer window and Juventus are willing to let the Canadian go if a suitable replacement can be found.

David moved to Serie A as a free agent during the 2025 summer window, after scoring 109 goals in 232 appearances for Lille and establishing himself as one of the top strikers in Europe.

However, his move to Turin has not gone according to plan so far, scoring just two goals in 16 appearances (all competitions) and dropping out of the squad to make room for Dusan Vlahovic.

The Canadian did win over some supporters during Juve’s latest outing, as David ended his goal-drought by scoring the winner in a 3-2 victory over Bodo//Glint in the Champions League.

Finding the back of the net was crucial for David as Luciano Spalletti is yet to start the 25-year-old during his five matches in charge so far and this lack of playing-time has caught the eye of Sevilla.

The Spanish side are monitoring David’s situation in Turin ahead of the January transfer window and Matias Almeyda is said to be a huge admirer of the Juventus star.

Sevilla are looking to sign the striker on loan for the remainder of this season, which could lead to a permanent switch if David performs well in Spain.

His deal with the Bianconeri does not expire until June 2030 and Juventus will only let the Canadian go if a suitable replacement can be brought in during the January window.

Juventus Wary Over Kenan Yildiz Situation

Juventus could be in for a chaotic month at the beginning of 2026, as David is not the only player to attract interest from LaLiga.

After an impressive start to the season, Kenan Yildiz has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and former Bianconeri star, Dean Huijsen, is set to play a big part in Madrid’s pursuit of the Juventus star.

The 20-year-old appeared to be close to agreeing a new deal with the Old Lady before the 2025/26 season began, however, an issue over wage demands has seen these negotiations come to a halt.

If Juventus fails to offer the youngster an improved salary it could lead to Yildiz parting ways with the club in 2026, especially after the Bianconeri’s poor start to the season.

Spalletti’s side currently sit seventh in the table after 12 matches and face another tough test in Serie A on November 29th, as Juventus welcome Cagliari.

The interest from LaLiga will need to be at the back of Yildiz’s and David’s minds, as both players are expected to feature after strong performances in the Champions League.
