A number of reports in Italy suggest that Juventus are want to sign Atalanta wing-back Joakim Maehle in the January transfer window. The Bianconeri are preparing themselves for the departure of Juan Cuadrado next summer and want to bring in reinforcements as soon as possible.
Sky Sport Italia, Goal Italia and others report that Maehle is viewed as a good replacement for Cuadrado as he can play in a 3-5-2 system and switch between the left and right flanks.
The 25-year-old has been with La Dea since 2021 when he signed for €13.7m plus bonuses to replace Robin Gosens, who was sold to Inter.
It’s unclear what price tag Atalanta would put on the full-back, but the Bianconeri seem genuinely interested in the player and will reportedly make an effort to sign him sooner than later.
