La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juventus are set to meet with the agent of Dusan Vlahovic this week to discuss a contract extension. The Serbian international has a contract with the Old Lady until 2026, but reports from the Italian media suggest the club are working on a number of contract extensions within their squad with an eye to the future.
La Gazzetta report that the contract of the 23-year-old will be extended until at least 2027, and that the meeting between the player’s agent, Dario Ristic, and the Juve management is scheduled for this week. #
The newspaper report that Vlahovic has already let the club know that he is willing to go along with the Bianconeri. With the contract extension, the forward can strengthen his position, becoming even more central to the clubs project.
The club’s goal, on the other hand, is to lower the annual amortization cost, pushing away the possibility (or perhaps it would be better to say the need) for a future transfer.
Two hypotheses are being studied: renewing for only one year, moving the bonuses to 2027, or extending by two, reaching 2028, to spread the variable amount over the two years. There will also be reasoning about inserting a clause in case of transfer, as was done for De Ligt.
