Reports from Argentina claim Juventus are willing to pay the release clause for talented 18-year-old talent Valentín Barco. The youngster is currently impressing for his national side in the U20 World Cup in Indonesia, and is viewed as one of the most promising prospects in the Boca Junior’s squad.
ESPN Argentina journalist Augusto Cesar reports that Juventus are interested in Barco, having followed him for some time, and are prepared to pay the $10 million release clause in his contract to bring him to Turin.
According to ESPN, the Bianconeri have already held talks with the players’ entourage regarding a move, as they look to find a long-term successor to Alex Sandro.
Tuttosport previously reported that Barco was already applying for a European passport, which would make his signing all the easier for Juventus.
