With the Kevin De Bruyne debut on the horizon, who exactly could the midfield maestro make his Napoli bow against?

Now, De Bruyne earns a more modest €6m per year rising to €7m with performance related bonuses. In terms of his contract length, the 34-year-old will be in Naples for at least two seasons but there is an option to extend by a further year.

The Kevin De Bruyne debut for Napoli could come against Arezzo in a pre-season friendly at the Stadio Comunale on July 22.

He is also in line to feature against US Catanzaro, Brest, Girona and Olympiacos. His Serie A debut is likely to come against newly-promoted Sassuolo on August 23.

That fixture will be held at the Maradona Stadium. Ironically, De Bruyne will wear the legendary Argentinian’s No.10 shirt in the 2025-26 season.
