The Belgian baller joined the Serie A champions in June after 10 glorious years at Man City. During his time at the Etihad, De Bruyne won 16 major honors including six Premier League titles.
Not only did De Bruyne win every club trophy available, he is widely regarded as one of City’s greatest ever players. The 34-year-old made 422 appearances for the Cityzens, racking up 108 goals and an impressive 177 assists.
Kevin De Bruyne Napoli Contract
Once Kevin De Bruyne completed his Napoli switch, he did so for a lesser annual salary than what he banked at Man City.
At the Etihad, De Bruyne was one of the best paid players in world soccer. During his last few years in Manchester, the Belgian earned an annual salary of €20.6million per season.
Now, De Bruyne earns a more modest €6m per year rising to €7m with performance related bonuses. In terms of his contract length, the 34-year-old will be in Naples for at least two seasons but there is an option to extend by a further year.
Kevin De Bruyne Debut
The Kevin De Bruyne debut for Napoli could come against Arezzo in a pre-season friendly at the Stadio Comunale on July 22.
He is also in line to feature against US Catanzaro, Brest, Girona and Olympiacos. His Serie A debut is likely to come against newly-promoted Sassuolo on August 23.
That fixture will be held at the Maradona Stadium. Ironically, De Bruyne will wear the legendary Argentinian’s No.10 shirt in the 2025-26 season.
