Lecce and Atalanta kick off their 2024/25 Serie A campaigns on Monday evening but both teams have contrasting fortunes with their squads.

Lecce have made several changes to their squad and are expected to start new signing Nikola Krstovic up front. He’ll likely be supported by Dorgu and Morente, with the latter favored over Banda.

Atalanta are dealing with several injuries and absences. Giorgio Scalvini, Gianluca Scamacca and Nicolo Zaniolo are all sidelined. Rafael Toloi and Sead Kolasinac are also out, leaving Gasperini short on defensive options. Ben Godfrey could start in defense, or Marten de Roon may drop back from midfield.

Teun Koopmeiners and Ademola Lookman have not traveled with the squad amid transfer speculation linking them to Juventus and PSG respectively.

Probable Lineups

Lecce (4-2-3-1): Falcone; Gendrey, Baschirotto, Gaspar, Gallo; Ramadani, Pierret; Morente, Marchwinski, Dorgu; Krstovic

Atalanta (3-4-1-2): Carnesecchi; de Roon, Hien, Djimsiti; Zappacosta, Ederson, Brescianini, Ruggeri; Pasalic; Retegui, De Ketelaere
