Leeds have been linked with a move for Sassuolo starlet Hamed Junior Traore but Milan remain interested in the player. The 22-year-old enjoyed his most successful season yet with the Neroverdi, scoring eight goals in 27 appearances for the club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Leeds are currently the team ‘most determined’ to sign Traore, but it remains to be seen if the Premier League will appeal to the player over the prospect of playing for Milan.
While negotiations haven’t begun with either team, Sassuolo are looking for at least €25m for the youngster who they value highly.
Meanwhile, Gazzetta report that Milan are in the process of completing the contract renewals of directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, and that the Rossoneri’s transfer market will begin once the renewals are complete.
Milan’s number one target remain Renato Sanches and while a deal for the Portuguese midfielder was thought to be all but complete, PSG have now made a bid to hijack the deal and stand a good chance of signing him.
Along with Leeds and Milan, Juventus have had a long-standing interest in the young Ivory Coast midfielder and were thought to hold a preferential option, but that ‘path’ has faded for the player.
Gazzetta suggest that Traore has settled in Italy now, and this may factor into his overall decision making over a potential summer move.
