Premier League side Leicester City are closing in on the signing of Fiorentina winger Nico Gonzalez with only a few details to be finalised. The Argentine winger is the subject of a €30m offer from the Foxes and a deal is expected to go through before the end of the January transfer window.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the move is advancing but the ‘white smoke’ is still missing. The two parties are expected to meet again on Monday to resolve an issue related to a 5% sell-on clause with Stuttgart, which La Viola view as a significant figure, given Leicester’s offer of around €34m.
According to Di Marzio, only the final ‘ok’ of Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso is missing before the deal can concluded between the two clubs.
Should everything be completed in the coming days, La Viola are expected to set their sights on Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo who featured for Torino last season.
