Former Juventus defence Leonarod Bonucci is set to complete a transfer to Turkish side Fenerbahce in the coming hours. The veteran centre-back has struggled for playing time since joining Union Berlin as a free agent earlier this year, and is set to terminate his contract and leave the Bundesliga side as a free agent.

Fabrizio Romano and Goal Italia report that Bonucci is expected to depart Germany today and arrive in Istanbul to complete his club medicals before an official announcement.

The 26-year-old veteran is expected to pen a six month deal, joining the Turkish side as they fight for the league title against long-standing rivals Galatasaray,
