Will Harvey Elliott Leave Liverpool?
The England U21 star has been heavily involved in multiple transfer rumors this summer, attracting interest from multiple clubs around Europe.
Looking towards a move away from Liverpool comes after the youngster failed to cement a place in the squad under Arne Slot, with the Dutchman preferring Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai.
So far during the 2025/26 season, the 22-year-old has made little to no impact for the Reds, playing seven minutes in the Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace and one minute from Liverpool’s two Premier League matches.
Elliott joins a list of young English players that are looking for a move away from the Premier League this summer, with Kobbie Mainoo attracting interest from Inter Milan.
Mainoo’s situation is slightly different as Manchester United are not looking to sell him before the deadline, while Liverpool are reportedly willing to offload Elliot for the right price.
According to reports, the 22-year-old has been in contact with RB Leipzig in recent days, as the Bundesliga side are looking to replace Xavi Simons who is nearing a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Any bid for the Liverpool star will need to be between $50-60 million, due to the Englishman having two-years left on his current deal at Anfield.
Leipzig appear to be the front runners in the race to sign Elliott this summer, however, there has been a growing interest from Serie A and Fiorentina are reportedly preparing a late move for the England international.
Are Fiorentina Interested In Harvey Elliott?
Fiorentina’s summer transfer window has been an extremely busy period for the club, bringing in a host of star names to boost Stefano Pioli’s roster.
The Serie A side have signed: Roberto Piccoli, Simon Sohm, Nicolò Fagioli, Albert Gudmundsson, Jacopo Fazzini, Robin Gosens, Eman Kospo, Edin Džeko, Luca Lezzerini and Mattia Viti.
These additions have already made an impact, as Edin Dzeko scored the winning goal against Polissya to secure a place in the UEFA Conference League for 2025/26.
However, their performance on the opening weekend of Serie A was not as impressive, being held to a 1-1 draw away from home by Cagliari after a 94th minute equaliser from the hosts.
A creative spark was clearly missing during their opening day stalemate, having just one shot on target and this may be the reasoning behind a move for Harvey Elliott.
At 22-years-old, the English international has already made 149 appearances for Liverpool, winning two Premier League titles, FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Supercup.
Elliot has also won the U21 European Championships on two occasions with England, as the Three Lions have won the international youth tournament in consecutive attempts.
At this current moment in time, Fiorentina have not made an official bid for the Liverpool star but will need to act swiftly, as Leipzig are closing in on the young midfielder.
