Multiple Serie A sides are monitoring Manchester City star Bernardo Silva as the Portuguese star’s deal in England nears its end.

Bernardo Silva could become available as a free agent at the end of the 2025/26 season, as Manchester City are yet to offer the Portuguese international an extended deal.
The 31-year-old has become a club legend at the Etihad since joining the Cityzens in July 2017, making 428 appearances so far and winning six Premier League titles, four Carabao Cups, three Community Shields, two FA Cups, Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup.
Despite this level of success, the Portuguese star has been linked with a move away from Manchester in recent years, coming close to joining Barcelona on multiple occasions.
Silva signed a three-year extension in August 2023 after City won the illustrious treble and this deal is now coming to a close, with no signs of a fresh agreement.
This means that Silva will be available as a free agent in the 2026 summer transfer window and the 31-year-old is reportedly keen on a move to Serie A.
Italian sides will be able to enter pre-contract negotiations with Silva during at the beginning of 2026, as the likes of Juventus and AC Milan see what the January transfer window holds.

The Bianconeri have endured a whirlwind start to the season, already seeing a change in managers after cutting ties with Igor Tudor after the Croatian failed to win eight consecutive matches.
Spalletti has managed to find some level of consistency since taking the reins, picking up six wins, three draws and one defeat in his opening 10 matches.
The Italian is under contract until the end of the season and is set to be offered a long-term deal if Juventus qualify for the Champions League.
Despite his current contract situation, Spalletti will receive heavy backing in the January transfer window and Juventus have targeted Andrey Santos from Chelsea.
Although the Brazilian is an immediate priority, Juventus are still setting the framework over a deal for Bernardo Silva and are currently the front-runners to land the 31-year-old.
Silva will need to take a major pay-cut if he decides to join the Bianconeri, as Silva currently earns a reported €340,000 per week – which is more than every player in Serie A other than current Juve star, Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serbian is expected to leave Turin after his recent injury and Vlahovic’s exit could open up some funds for Silva’s salary.
