Manchester United have added Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat to their list of potential targets this summer. The Moroccan international had an impressive 2022-23 campaign, helping La Viola to the Conference League final while putting in some dazzling displays for his national team during the World Cup.
The 26-year-old was closely linked with a transfer to Barcelona in the winter transfer window, but a move failed to materialise, despite the player pushing to leave.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Amrabat is now on United’s radar as they look to bolster their midfield ahead of the new campaign. Romano suggests that there’s been no official bid yet, but the player is definitely of interest to the Red Devils.
Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports that Fiorentina may be prepared to accept €22-25 million as the transfer fee for Amrabat, but the add-ons and additional figures could take it closer to €30 million.
Viola News claim that Manchester United have already been in touch with Sofyan Amrabat‘s representatives, while Pedulla claims that the midfielder has given his approval to the deal, reporting: “Amrabat said yes to the transfer.”
