The investigation into the ultras groups of Inter Milan and AC Milan continues, with key figures from both clubs being called to testify. Following the depositions of Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and vice president Javier Zanetti, AC Milan captain Davide Calabria is next in line to be questioned.
According to ANSA (via Calciomercato), Calabria’s testimony, originally scheduled for today, has been postponed to the coming days. The Milan skipper will be heard as a witness and person informed of the facts in the ongoing probe that led to 19 arrests on September 30th, effectively dismantling the leadership of both Inter’s Curva Nord and Milan’s Curva Sud.
Investigation documents reveal that in February 2023, Calabria allegedly met with Luca Lucci, the now-imprisoned leader of Milan ultras, at a bar in Cologno Monzese.
Meanwhile, Inter vice president Javier Zanetti testified yesterday, following coach Simone Inzaghi’s hearing. Zanetti described his interactions with ultra leaders as calm and free from pressure or threats. He also denied allegations of leaking information about police checks. Regarding the ticket allocation for the Champions League final in Istanbul, Zanetti stated he had not discussed the matter with CEO Giuseppe Marotta, as the club was already aware of the situation.
Zanetti also mentioned his acquaintance with Antonio Bellocco, who was killed over a month ago by Andrea Beretta, another ultra leader.
