Milan have released a brief statement clarifying the clubs position following a series of raids at their headquarters by Italy’s financial police. News broke earlier today that the Guardia di Finanza raided the Rossoneri’s HQ as well as the offices of club CEO Giorgio Furlani.

Milan have now released a statement addressing the incident, stating:

“Regarding the raid that took place today at our headquarters, the company AC Milan is third-party and unrelated to the ongoing proceedings concerning its acquisition, completed in August 2022. The investigation, which also involves the legal representatives with signing authority, Giorgio Furlani and Ivan Gazidis, current and former CEOs of the Club, alleges incorrect communications to the competent supervisory authority. The company is fully cooperating with the investigating authority.”
