Watch the Milan highlights as the Rossoneri got their 2025-26 campaign up and running with a 2-0 win against Bari in the Coppa Italia 1st round. 

Rafael Leao and USMNT star Christian Pulisic scored in each half to give new head coach Max Allegri his first competitive win since returning to the San Siro earlier this summer.

Allegri’s side will now face Lecce on home soil in September. Last season’s runners-up will be hoping to go one better this year and claim their first Coppa Italia success since 2003.

The Milan vs Bari match stats demonstrate just how one-sided Sunday’s affair at the San Siro was. Although the scoreline perhaps didn’t reflect that, the Rossoneri made light work of the Serie B side.

Milan midfielder Christian Pulisic looked impressive throughout and was rewarded with his side’s second goal. So to do Rafael Leao before he was subbed off injured shortly after netting the opener.

The Milan highlights from their comfortable 2-0 victory over Bari in the Coppa Italia will tee them up nicely ahead of the Serie A season opener this weekend.

Max Allegri deployed a 3-5-2 formation with Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic up top. That move paid off as both Rossoneri stars got on the scoresheet.

Leao got the ball rolling when he thundered home a header from a Fikayo Tomori cross in the 14th minute. The Portuguese international was subbed off shortly after with a calf injury.

Santiago Gimenez came on for Leao and provided the second for Pulisic to sweep home with 48 minutes on the clock.

Meawhile, 2018 Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric made his competitive debut for the club. The Croatian legend was introduced for fellow debutant Samuele Ricci in the 66th minute.

Summer signing Ardon Jashari also came on with Modric and the duo entered the field of play to a rousing reception from over 70,000 supporters.

Both players are expected to feature heavily throughout the course of the 2025-26 season. Pervis Estupinan also earned his first start. The left-back put in a solid performance having replaced Theo Hernandez earlier this summer.
