Milan forward Noah Okafor looks set to miss this weekends match against Fiorentina after picking up an injury on international duty. The Rossoneri are already without Olivier Giroud following his two match suspension for a red card, leaving Luka Jovic to lead the line.
A statement from the club confirmed that Okafor picked up a knock with the Swiss national side:
“Okafor, in the third game played with his national team against Romania, suffered a thigh injury. The instrumental examinations carried out yesterday on his return showed an injury to the right hamstring. The player will be re-evaluated with new examinations in a week.”
Milan are in the midst of an injury crisis, with Marco Sportiello, Ismael Bennacer, Pierre Kalulu, Olivier Giroud, Simone Kjaer and Christian Pulisic all out through injury or suspension.
