Milan are already at work to find a replacement for Sandro Tonali and are zeroing in on Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis. The Rossoneri are close to agreeing the sale of Tonali to Premier League side Newcastle United, with the move expected to be complete in the coming week.
Sky Sport Italia and Portuguese newspaper Record claim that Milan have set their sights on Benfica’s young talent Florentino Luis, who they have been linked with in the past. The Sale of Tonali is expected to bring in close to €80 million, funds that are expected to be reinvested in the clubs midfield and attack this summer.
The 23-year-old Portuguese international is valued at around €40 million and they have already been contacts between Milan and the players entourage to discuss a potential switch.
Florentino is a product of Benfica’s youth academy and has already featured for the clubs ‘B’ team, before making the move to the senior squad in 2019. Loan spells with Monaco and Benfica have seen him gain vital experience, before going on to make 54 appearances for As Águias in the 2022-23 campaign.
