Milan have made a second bid for Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic in a deal worth up to a reported €22 million. The two sides have been in talks for the UMSNT captain for the last few weeks, but have failed to reach an agreement on a transfer fee. The Rossoneri’s previous bid was €14 million which was rejected by the Blues, who value him higher.

The Athletic now report that following Lyon’s failed €25m bid for Pulisic earlier this week, Milan have returned with a higher offer that is hopefully closer to what Chelsea want for the player.

Pulisic, who has only a year left on his contract at Chelsea, already has an agreement in place with Milan and has made it clear that he wants to make the move to Serie A next season.

The two clubs maintain good relations after doing business for Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori, Tiemoue Bakayoko and, most recently, Ruben Loftus-Cheek in recent years.

Loftus-Cheek’s arrival means Milan have filled one of their two non-EU registration slots for the upcoming season. Pulisic would not count towards the second as he holds a Croatian passport.
