Milan are set to sign Club Guarani goalkeeper Devis Vasquez with only the official announcement pending. The 24-year-old Colombian is currently undergoing his medical at the Milanello sport centre ahead of signing a contract with the Rossoneri. The club have been eager to find backup options following the injury to Mike Maignan who isn’t expected to return until at least next month.
Milan have been linked with a move for Atalanta backup keeper Marco Sportiello and while Vasquez is expected to be signed in the coming days, the Rossoneri are expected to pish ahead in their bid for the veteran keeper as well.
Corriere dello Sport and Fabrizio Romano report that the Rossoneri will sign 24-year-old Vasquez from Club Guarani with the player expected to return to South America to complete some final paperwork before completing the switch.
Vasquez will take up one of the two non-EU player slots in the squad.
