Luca Lucci, the prominent leader of AC Milan’s ultras group, is facing fresh legal troubles as he receives another order for pre-trial detention. Already incarcerated due to the “Doppia Curva” investigation, Gazzetta dello Sport report how Lucci now stands accused of involvement in a large-scale drug trafficking operation linked to the ‘Ndrangheta crime syndicate.

According to the Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA), Lucci is allegedly part of an organization associated with the Barbaro clan of the ‘Ndrangheta. This group is suspected of importing and distributing over 2 tons of narcotics between Lombardy and Calabria.

The Guardia di Finanza of Pavia executed a series of arrests across several Italian provinces, including Pavia, Milan, Reggio Calabria, Lecco, and Piacenza. In total, 20 individuals were taken into custody, with 15 sent to prison and 5 placed under house arrest. The charges revolve around participation in a drug trafficking ring, primarily dealing in cocaine.

Investigators claim that the various criminal organizations involved in this operation converge on a central figure who has replaced the Flachi family of Comasina. This individual reportedly maintains close ties with the Barbaro clan from Platì, active in the Cologno Monzese area, as well as Albanian and South American criminal groups. These international connections allegedly facilitate the control of cocaine shipments from strategic bases in South America to major intercontinental markets.

For Lucci, these new allegations compound his existing legal troubles. He was already under investigation for criminal association related to various offenses and for the attempted murder of another Milan ultra, Enzo Anghinelli, in 2019.
