A report from Italian newspaper Il Messaggero claims that Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could leave the club as early as January. The Serbian international has a contract with the Biancocelesti until June 2024 but talks over a renewal have reportedly stalled, leaving club president Claudio Lotito more inclined to sell his star player.
Il Messaggero (via TuttoJuve) report that Milinkovic-Savic could be sold in the January transfer window, due to the ongoing ‘tug-of-war’ between Lotito and the player over his contract renewal.
They claim that Lotito would even be prepared to loan the player out in January for a €10m fee with an option to buy included in the contract for between €40-50m, to be paid in June 2023.
Juventus remain the most interested of the Italian sides while reports in England have linked Premier League side Arsenal with a move for the player.
