Former Inter president Massimo Moratti believes the Nerazzurri are ‘the strongest in the league’, but there is competition from Juventus. Inter sit in first place, two points clear of the Bianconeri, who look to be their only rivals for the Serie A title this season. Speaking with Radio Radio, Moratti offered his assessment of his former side and coach Simone Inzaghi:

“How do I see Inter in 2024? Inter seem to be in a good shape, even if there was the last game that was also the result of mental tiredness from so many difficult matches before. They still seem to be the strongest in the league.

“Juve? Finally there is a competition and there is not a team thatruns away with the title, but Inter give the impression of being stronger.”

“Lautaro Martinez? A special player, who has improved a lot since he has been in Italy. Right now he’s essential, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that the team still plays well. In Genoa the attack was lacking and Thuram wasn’t fit. But Inter always seem to me to be organised with the Argentine or without him.”
