Jose Mourinho revealed that Netflix have made a documentary about him, saying he turned down a large offer to join Roma in 2021. The Special One was speaking with the press following the Giallorossi’s 2-1 win over Cremonese in the Coppa Italia, and shared the news about the new series which is due to start later this week:
“I’ll give you news, a documentary is starting on Netflix about me, it’s a documentary about my career and it starts on Thursday.
“There are things that will only be known there…..Roma pay me well, but I’m a total fool. I hadn’t signed with Roma yet, I had given my availability, then there was a club that wanted me and wanted me to break the compromise with Roma, but I didn’t go.
“Everyone told me I was stupid, when Portugal called me I called my president, the same thing happened when they wanted me in Saudi Arabia. I don’t think the Friedkins are talking behind my back, it’s a mutual thing, for me it’s not real news’.
