Nainggolan slams Guendouzi: “He’s an average player, he just runs”

Former Roma midfielder Radja Naingoglan didn’t mince his words when speaking about Mateo Gunedouzi: ‘You replace Milinkovic-Savic with someone like that?’. Nainggolan was a guest on Controcalcio on Twitch (via CM) during the Rome Derby, and didn’t hold back on his criticisms of the Biancocelesti squad:

“I see Lazio in a really bad way. Forget about changing the coach recently, in a derby you leave Luis Alberto on the bench? How the hell do you do that? He’s the only player in that team who can bring quality up front.”

“Guendouzi only knows how to run. For me, he’s a disappointment, I’ll say it like that. You start with someone like Milinkovic-Savic and you replace him with someone like that? It’s not him doing well, it’s Lazio doing badly. Tell me one quality of his. He’s not fast and endurance is something athletes should have. For me, he’s not Lazio material, between him and Duncan, I’d pick the Fiorentina midfielder every time. He’s not strong, period. He’s just an average player.”

“Lazio doesn’t have enough players who can make a difference. Today, I wouldn’t even put Isaksen ahead of Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina.”

“I don’t like Immobile’s style of play, but he’s been very important for Lazio over the years. Immobile needs someone like Luis Alberto, and you put him on the bench? If you’re playing Castellanos, who I don’t mind, you can make other choices in midfield.”
