Despite being close to a move for Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic, Napoli are now making an attempt to sign Borussia Monchengladbach’s Kouadio Kone. The club management are looking to bolster Walter Mazzarri’s squad before the second part of the season, and are focusing on midfield and defence.
Sky Sport Italia report that Monchengladbach’s Kone is now a realistic target for Napoli, but Juve have been pressing for the player for some time.
Atletico Madrid are also reportedly showing an interest in his acquisition, but Napoli could keep trying in the coming days, even if the player would prefer to jointhe Bianconeri.
Sky suggest that the decision will now be entirely up to Kone as to whether he would make the move to Napoli now, or wait until the summer for a possible switch to Juventus.
