Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz is in advanced talks with Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain over a transfer this summer. The 25-year-old is into the last year of his contract in Naples and talks over an extension have failed with some Italian papers suggesting he could be frozen out of the squad.
Sky Sport Italia and a number of other Italian media outlets now report that Napoli are considering selling Ruiz rather than losing him for free next summer.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Spanish midfielder has always been a favourite of PSG sporting director Luis Campos who is now working to bring him to Paris.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Campos has been working ‘in secret’ for many weeks to try and bring Ruiz to PSG and talks are beginning in earnest. Romano suggests the deal could be completed very soon.
