Lorenzo Lucca Close To Joining Nottingham Forest As Napoli Striker Says Yes To Move
Nottingham Forest are closing in on a move for Napoli striker Lorenzo Lucca.
Napoli striker Lorenzo Lucca has finally ‘opened the door’ on a move to Nottingham Forest, according to reports from Italy.
The Partenopei have been looking to sell Lucca over the past few weeks, with Nottingham Forest one of his main suitors.
For a while, it looked like Forest were out of luck, amid reports Lucca wanted an Italy stay. Pisa were also among his suitors.
However, Napoli preferred Forest’s Lucca approach as it involves an option to buy. Meanwhile, Pisa only had a straight loan in mind.
Now, things are developing on the Lucca to Forest front, with a major breakthrough on the cards.
Nottingham Forest now ‘confident’ they’ll sign Napoli striker Lorenzo Lucca
Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira has reported that Nottingham Forest and Napoli are ‘confident’ of finalising the Lorenzo Lucca deal.
Schira has claimed that Forest would pay Napoli €1m to bring Lucca to the City Ground on loan until the end of the season.
Should Lucca do well at Forest, they would get the option to sign him permanently for €35m, added the transfer insider.
Crucially, Lucca has now ‘opened the door’ to Forest, who are just a step away from planning travel and medical tests.

What Lorenzo Lucca can bring to Nottingham Forest
Lorenzo Lucca would give Nottingham Forest a true focal point up front.
At 6ft 7in, he can pin centre-backs, win first balls and bring runners into play with strong hold-up work.
Lucca can also link attacks rather than just finish them, using his frame to shield the ball and lay it off quickly.
In the box, he offers a clear target for crosses and set pieces, while his movement can create space for wide players arriving at the back post.
For a Forest side that can be direct at times, he can allow Forest to go long, secure possession, and attack the second ball with support runners.
