Speaking with Sky Sport Italia, Nesta shared his own thoughts on the decision and confirmed that he is close to announcing his next coaching role:
“We are almost there with Reggiana, I would like to come back and I am happy. Now I’m waiting for the club to make it official.”
“Maldini’s sacking? I don’t know what happened but it defies all logic. I believe that foreign companies coming to Italy are welcome because they bring money and ideas but they have to study the history of a club, as Ancelotti said well today. I believe that what Paolo did by taking Milan back to win the Scudetto and into the semifinals of the Champions League cannot go unnoticed.”
