Bayern Munich keeper Manuel Neuer believes his side are the favourites in their Champions League tie with Lazio. The two teams were drawn against each other in the Champions League, with the first leg to be played at the Stadio Olimpico on 12 February. Speaking after the draw, Neuer, and teammate Thomas Muller, shared their thoughts on their opponents:
“We have already had positive experiences against Lazio. We come to the match as favorites, but we must not underestimate them. I have very positive memories of the stadium. We will try to win both games.”
Muller: “I’m happy with the draw, Rome is an exciting city, Lazio as a club is always interesting. If you qualify for the round of 16, you’ve definitely did a good job. It is a historic stadium. We’re focused on the challenge, it’s a beautiful thing.”
