Newcastle Prepare Late Summer Move For Out Of Favor Juventus Star As Alexander Isak Pushes For Liverpool Switch

Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing Juventus star, Dusan Vlahovic, as Eddie Howe looks for a last-minute Alexander Isak replacement.

The Serbian striker has been continuously linked with a move away from Turin this summer, as Igor Tudor is not planning on utilizing Vlahovic as the leading talisman.

Juve also added another quality centre-forward to their ranks this summer, bringing in Jonathan David as a free agent following a successful time with Lille and the Canadian scored on his Serie A debut against Parma.

Interestingly, Vlahovic was also on target in Juventus’ opening league encounter, coming on in the 80th minute and scoring just four minutes later.

With the transfer window deadline edging closer, Juventus and Vlahovic have a big decision to make as the club may need to find a replacement – while the Serbian has a plethora of options.

Initially, Vlahovic was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, however, the Red Devils opted to sign Benjamin Sesko and that deal ended any contact between United and Juventus.

Now, the former Fiorentina star has attracted interest from AC Milan for a reunion with Massimiliano Allegri, while also catching the eye of Eddie Howe at Newcastle.

Premier League sides continue to target Juve’s men, as Spurs have also been linked with Kenan Yildiz after missing out Eberechi Eze, however, the Turkish youngster appears to be off limits.

Vlahovic has one-year remaining on his current deal in Turin, meaning Juventus will be looking to cash-in on the Serbian this summer and avoid the possibility of a free transfer next summer.

Eddie Howe’s search for a striker has come after one of the biggest sagas to come from this summer transfer window, as Alexander Isak looks for a move to Liverpool.

The Swedish international stunned supporters after it was revealed that he wanted to leave the club and refused to take part in pre-season or compete in Newcastle’s opening two league matches.

He is now facing heavy fines, training alone and even posted to Instagram, claiming there are two sides to every story and it’s now time to move on.

Newcastle have already rejected a $120 million bid from Liverpool, but Arne Slot’s side are expected to make another move for the Swede this summer.

This means, that the Magpies may have to find a last-minute replacement and this could push the 2025 Carabao Cup winners into a move for Vlahovic.

Napoli are also in the running to sign the Serbian, as Antonio Conte targets multiple striker options to bring to Naples after Romelu Lukaku’s recent injury.

Juventus’ asking price has decreased during the window, with the 36-time Serie A champions reportedly looking for bids at around $25-30 million.

No concrete talks have been held between Juventus and Newcastle, however, the Magpies are expected to make an initial offer once Alexander Isak’s future has been sorted.
