Fiorentina have officially confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini on a season-long loan deal from Atalanta. The terms of the deal includes an option to buy the 27-year-old at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
Gollini spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur but managed just 10 appearances across the Europa Conference League and domestic cups competitions.
Fiorentina have confirmed the deal via a statement on the clubs website:
Fiorentina announce the signing of Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta BC on a loan deal with an option to buy. Born in Bologna on 18 March 1995, the goalkeeper was a Fiorentina academy player before embarking on a professional career that has seen him play for Hellas Verona, Aston Villa, Atalanta and Tottenham. Gollini has also one senior Italy cap to his name.”
